If you’re at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) and craving a smoke, note that smoking is strictly prohibited inside the terminal, covering traditional cigarettes, e-cigarettes, and vaping devices, in line with North Carolina’s anti-smoking regulations and airport rules.
Where to Smoke: The only places you can light up are outside the terminal, specifically in designated zones located at least 100 feet from any doorway. The main smoking area is situated at the far west side of the Departures/Ticketing level, close to Doors A and D. You might also find marked spots outside the Arrivals level near Baggage Claim.
Important Details:
There are no indoor smoking facilities or lounges in any concourses (A, B, C, D, or E).
If you leave the secure area to smoke, you’ll have to go through security screening again to get back inside.
Breaking the smoking rules could lead to a penalty of up to $50.
